Cheap cables will start cutting out and wear out much quicker. Crappy microphone cables will even fall or get pulled out cause the lock fits like crap. A quality cable like a monster will last much longer and has a lifetime warranty so you will never have to purchase a replacement. I lost count of how many crappy cables I've replaced.

I use a lot of cheap cables. The poor sources in my home theater all use cheap cables. My main DVD connection, now that's a good cable. Monster Cable if I remember correctly. I tried a step up RF 75 ohm cable from my outside antennas (DirecTV dish and RF antenna) from IXOS. It is their XS190.

The cables are plugged in my HDTV along with 3 HDMI cables and I usually use surround sound when playing Wii and there is a modem/router sitting next to my Wii. I wouldn't waste money on monster cables and I don't see how the Nintendo branded cables would be much better than what I have now.

Yeah there is a difference monster cable sucks compared to lamp cord. That is the monster orginal which makes things conjested and tinny but adds more loudness and bass. But this cable also gives you shrill highs. Now the monster xp is a good smooth cable. Get that if your going with monster.

Monster cable is a farce. They have good marketing techniques and a mediocre product that sells for WWWWAAAYYYY more than its worth. Monster has a long history of doing this. Monster sold speaker cables marked with the speaker and amp ends. Monster said connecting the speaker end to the amp would subvert sound. And so many actually could 'hear' the difference. Then Monster sold these $7 speaker wires for $70. Monster has a long history of identifying scams.
