You must drive the car. The second problem and more important is with the oil. When you storage the car, during few weeks the oil flow down from the engine to the oil pan. When you start the car, the oil pump doesn't have a pressure and don't press the oil into the engine.
Yes!! The 316i is a great car as a first car to get, especially if you are trying to avoid the engine displacement tax as well. It is a small engine, so it should be good on taxes. Plus at your age, it is perfect and you get to own a really great looking car. The 4 cylinder engines are very easy to learn on and fix.

1.8cc in a Bmw pun sudah under powered like hell. 1.6cc lagi teruk! It's a very common mistake people get confused when it comes to engine displacement. CC = Cubic centimetre. 1CC = 1MilliLitre / ML. 1.8CC = your engine displacement only 1.8ML. The correct one is 1.8 Litre / 1,800CC.
This can result in an engine stall. If your vehicle has an issue with the fuel pump, that means the engine doesn’t have enough fuel and it won’t be able to produce enough combustion to properly power the vehicle. If your engine has too much fuel, it floods the engine. That makes your spark plugs are too wet, meaning they can’t ignite the

Friday 23rd January 2009. Sticky thermostat is a common M52 2.8 problem --- about £9 from GSF and a bit of mucking around the change. Getting the viscous fan off can be an issue. Nothing to worry
ABS issue 316i M52 Swap. got an M52B25 swapped E36 316i with an ABS light that’s been on since the previous owner had it as a 316. Looking at all the fuses the continuity is fine and they all receive power. However looking at relay diagrams it seems there should be a relay in the middle of three for the ABS and an orange one to the right for ASC.
E36 vs E46 – Other Common Problems While the engine options in both the E36 and E46 are solid, they both have a few known problems that are only destined to get worse with age. To start with an issue that both the E36 and E46 share (along with pretty much any other BMW from the late 80s to early 2000s), the cooling system on both cars is
Check the Fuses. There is usually a Fuel Pump Fuse and a Fuel Pump Relay, check to see if the fuse is blown and what condition the relay is in. If the fuse is blown it’s likely that the fuel pump is also bad but you can confirm this by replacing the fuse and starting the car. Start the car and if the fuse blows again it’s a bad fuel pump.
Absolutely loves it to bits. Its a 1.6 - it is fairly slow, but unless you want to thrash around it really is enough. It does wallow in corners but i must say the ride offsets this as it is most comfortable. It is well built and we've not had any problems at all. Cheap to insure (£250 p/a fully comp).
